Harold is a drummer/music educator born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and currently reside in NYC. I obtained a BA in Music from the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras campus and an MA in Music Education from City University of New York Lehman College. I've had the opportunity to study with excellent teachers and musicians such as Sammy Morales, Kenwood Dennard, David Claman & Victor Rendón. While living in New York City I spent time playing musicals such as In The Heights, Dreamgirls, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Bikeshop among others and had the opportunity to compose the music for Exit The Musical with actress/composer Venuz Delmar. Harold has also collaborated with NYC bands such as San Simón, whose EP Talk to Me is soon to be released, Badinba, and hip-hop band Boom Bits. Currently, I am Music Director for the Mt. Pleasant Cottage School District. Aside from the educator side, I’m in the process of revision of my first drum book & performing in NYC with several groups. Some of my previous educator experience are Jazz Band & Marching Band Director for Champaign Unit 4 School District & Guest Director for the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana Latin Jazz Band. Harold proudly endorses Vic Firth & Sabian.
