Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico Harold Agosto is a Drummer/ Educator based in Champaign, IL. Harold obtained his BA in Music from University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras campus and his MA in Music Education from City University of New York Lehman College. He had the opportunity to study with excellent teachers and musicians such as Sammy Morales, Kenwood Dennard, David Claman & Victor Rendón. While living in New York City Harold spent his time playing musicals such as In The Heights, Dreamgirls, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Bikeshop among others and had the opportunity to compose the music for Exit The Musical with actress/composer Venuz Delmar. Harold has also collaborated with NYC bands such as San Simón and recorded their debute EP Talk to Me, Badinba, and hip-hop band Boom Bits. Currently Harold is the Edison Middle School Jazz Band 3 Director, Rhythm Section Instructor for the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana Latin Jazz Band & ESL Teacher at Champaign Central High School.
